Women in Mathematics (WIM) offers support to undergraduate students to conduct research projects under the direction of faculty mentors within the Mathematics Department at Penn State University
Applicants must be students enrolled at Penn State University Park Campus with a Mathematics Major in the 2024-2025 academic year. While open to all undergraduate majors, the focus of this program is on women in their third and fourth year. We strongly encourage students without prior research experience to apply. The proposed research work for WIM Scholars should not be part of projects for which students receive academic credit.
WIM will offer support up to $1000 per student for the academic year 2024-2025, including summer sessions. The funds for could be used for the summer sessions with intensive research activities or for Fall and Spring semesters combined. (If the time period is less, please specify the amount requested and time period.)
Applicants should fill out an application form in all its parts.
YOU MUST HAVE A PSU ACCOUNT TO FILL OUT THE APPLICATION FORM.
