Diane Henderson has been intrigued with surface water waves since almost drowning on a beach as a 3-yr old due to a particularly large (nonlinear) one. She researches nonlinear waves with mathematics, numerics and primarily, experiments in the Math Department's William G. Pritchard Fluid Mechanics Laboratory.

Wen-Ching Winnie Li is a number theorist, working on modular forms for congruence and noncongruence subgroups, automorphic forms and Galois representations, hypergeometric functions, spectral graph theory, zeta functions in number theory and combinatorics, and applications of number theory to computer science and coding theory.
